Barcelona: Of beautiful architecture and lovely weather

Barcelona: Of beautiful architecture and lovely weather

December 14, 2010 · by Laura · in All, Travel log

When I got to Barcelona my first thought was “wow how empty this train station is!” The second one was “Wow it’s really warm even though it’s 8 pm!” And the third one was “Wow I’m so sick of carrying that bag but I can’t wait for tomorrow because this city looks beautiful!”

When I arrived in Nice I took a bus to my hosts and I was sweating with my coat on because it was rather warm and I had to hike up a steep hill. I dropped my bags and surfed a bit while he went grocery shopping by bike (remember the hill I talked about …?) and then we ate some salad with tuna and some shrimp risotto. He was so kind to cook I didn’t have the heart to tell him I don’t like sea food of any kind but now no one can say I never tried it!

On Sunday morning we managed to get up early and were at the train station in time, but with the help of strangers we figured out there was a special training for bad winter weather going on. So we had to take two trains instead of our usual one to get to Amsterdam and then another two trains to get to Breda.

About

Hi! Nice to meet you :) I'm Laura. I'm not a writer. I'm a graphic designer. I started my company in 2010 with a friend and am now making a living from it. The lifestyle is more prone to self reflection and my brain is full. I thought putting some of it on virtual paper might help me concentrate on the job. I'm 22 and like yourself I think it's pretty young to own a company. I'm discovering a lot of things along the way. I'm also learning who I am and who I want to be. Read more
